Canadian Billing to Limit Internet Usage →
And there’s already a website and petition to stop it. So much for my plans to run away back to the Motherland.

I’m pretty sure there was a TEDTalk on this already, but it’s worth a read.

5 Video Game Characters Who Need to be Stopped
It’s pretty obvious that I happen to dislike a fair amount of characters. It would be a fair assumption to say that I hate a good number of them. The below five represent a very shallow amount of my hatred for various characters in video game history, but are probably some of the characters that I hate the most—for somewhat rational reasons. 5. Wendy Oldbag (The Ace Attorney...

The Escapist: "Thundercats Reboot Artist Shows Off... →
… Words cannot express how bad of a feeling I have for this. How about instead of rebooting classic television shows and somehow dumbing it down even more for contemporary audiences, create some original shows and actually market them decently for once? Most of the charm of those classic shows are the nostalgia factor. That’s difficult to recapture a decade later.

Syberia
(2008) France-based game developer Microïds’ game Syberia was originally published in 2002 for the PC. At the time, it won GameSpy’s “Adventure Game of the Year” and IGN’s “Reader’s Choice Award for Adventure Games”, and God saw that it was good. It boasted beautiful graphics, a good soundtrack, and a tight, well-thought out story. In 2008, the...

Everything is being released in March. I seriously doubt that I’ll be buying a 3DS until a few months after launch because of that.

Joystiq: "See Kingdom Hearts 3D in 2D Trailer" →
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance was announced at Square Enix’s Tokyo event (along with Final Fantasy XIII-2, though I’m not sure why they’re bothering), and ridiculous and obvious 3D reference aside, it looks as if it’s shaping up to be almost exactly like every single other game in the franchise. It just goes to show that Square Enix is pretty much incapable of...

Achievement Edition
Achievements in video games have been both criticised and demonised by gamers ever since they first appeared what seems to be aeons ago. Most qualms against them argue that they’re single-handedly ruining the gaming industry, detracting from core gameplay, that sort of thing. I never cared about achievements, thinking them nothing but a ridiculous bandwagon, until the fateful—and...

Fable
(2004) Way back in 2004, Fable was the best-selling game of the year and everyone fell in love with Peter Molyneaux and his fresh-out-of-the-gate darling, and to this day, I still do not understand why. It’s not strictly a terrible game, and that’s its problem. The whole game is a pile of mediocrity wrapped up in frightfully dull newsprint, and yet there are so many people who...

Honestly… I’d probably sell my soul for this. What? The 3D Adventures of Sailor Moon is an awesome game.

An XBOX having hardware problems? I’m shocked, really. How about instead of trying to blame the hardware and dodging responsibility, just make the products not horribly put together and made from the cheapest plastic known to man? I mean really. I don’t think it’ll damage profits too terribly much to use a $0.15 cooling fan instead of a $0.05 one.

This mod looks amazing. Waiting for both Skyrim and this is going to be the worst time ever. On a related note: If Bethesda pushes back the release date for Skyrim, I’m probably going to have to rampage.

The Dangers of the XX Chromosome
If there’s one thing about the gaming culture that I cannot stand, it is the other females. Not all females, mind you, but the incredibly outspoken ones that think that they’re wonderful and their opinion matters so much more simply because of their gender. The women that say, “Oh, I can play games just as well as a man can!”, but at the same time demand handicaps on...

Gameolosophy: "Why BioWare Should Make the Next... →
… GOD NO. Just… GOD NO. There are not enough words in any language to adequately describe how bad of an idea that is. It would become Mass Effect [Except These Guys Wear Even Funnier Hats], and that would be terrible. Just let Halo die, for the love of God. [EDIT] Apparently, I had accidentally linked something else entirely in the original post of this, so uh. Sorry...
